Use a tablet without keeping the phone nearby

Linked devices still depend on the phone in ways that bite when the phone is flat. A tablet should work on its own.

Agreed, though I would settle for it being consistent rather than clever. Right now it behaves differently depending on where I start.
I would rather they fixed the search first, honestly. This is annoying but that one blocks real work.
It works if you go the long way round, but nobody should have to know that.
Fair, though the two are probably the same underlying problem.
